We decided to go with a midwife and deliver our child at home because we wanted a birth that was going to be natural, serene and the way God intended it to be. I had completely made up my mind and no one was going to tell me that I couldn’t do it. Debbie was our wonderful midwife that made this unforgettable journey with us. Our labor officially began on December 30, 2012. I woke up determined to have our baby girl by the end of the year. Needless to say contractions started late that afternoon and continued through the evening growing progressively stronger. 18 hours of labor later our beautiful baby girl was born at 10:15am on December 31, 2012. To our amazement Marilyn Rose weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces and was 20 ½ inches long. She was beautiful, healthy and bright eyed. I had done it! I had a homebirth without drugs or any other interventions! I proved to my family, friends and myself how strong a woman can truly be; how strong I am. I will definitely do another homebirth with a midwife for all my future children, if God allows. My husband and I had a wonderful experience. Debbie was very knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. She helped deliver our gift that God blessed us with.

I just wanted to thank Debbie and her staff for a great experience. All throughout my pregnancy Debbie gave me the best care I could hope for, she was very thorough and always took plenty of time to answer all of my questions (there were many). She went beyond my expectations advising on nutrition, childbirth classes and general wellness that I wouldn’t have gotten from another doctor. She was a calm knowledgeable presence during my labor (I was the opposite) and any bumps we had were expertly handled. Even after delivery the excellent care continued with breastfeeding help and overall wellness checks and advice for my baby daughter and I. We couldn’t have had a better person (and team) supporting us throughout this very special time, thanks again from the Gates family!!

Choosing Debbie as my midwife for our first child was the best decision I could have made. I really felt I could completely put my trust in her. She is so knowledgable and professional. I know having my birth at home gave me the best outcome possible. Debbie and her nurse were so supportive. They used massage to help me relax and I really felt like they were there to serve and care for me. This was one of the most powerful moments in my life. I am so happy that I had a team I could completely trust there to get me through the toughest moments. Words cannot express how thankful I am. I feel so blessed to know Debbie. I am looking forward to my future births with her!

When my husband and I decided on a natural birth for our first child, we did tons of research and interviewed a number of OB/GYNs, Doulas and Midwifes. We definitely made the right choice with Debbie Boucher. She spent time with us, answered all of our questions and cared for us throughout the pregnancy. We could not be happier with the outcome the day our daughter was born. Debbie was extremely professional, supportive and made the greatest day of our lives as perfect as we could have imagined. Baby number two will absolutely be born the same way.
